A woman with dark hair and blue eyes that shone like diamonds. A woman with a beautiful body, a lively character, a sharp mind and a huge love for life. A woman who could make mistakes, fall in love, lose, start over and laugh again. A woman who was not afraid of the road. Because I knew: The most interesting stories begin precisely when you don’t yet know where it will lead you. I stepped on the gas. A new day was unfolding ahead. And I, as always, was driving towards it. With a smile. With music. With the wind in my hair. And with a little sun inside me.

I am Milena My name is Milena. Sometimes I think that if my life could be described in one color, it would be the color of dawn. Not because I was always happy. On the contrary. I have known dark nights, disappointments, losses, moments when I wanted to just turn off the whole world and be alone with my thoughts.
But somehow I always found the strength to turn the light back on. Maybe that's why people said I looked like the sun. I was a brunette with long dark hair that looked especially beautiful in the sun. And my blue eyes... They were the ones I was told about most often. They said they glowed like little diamonds. I always laughed at that because I didn't see myself that way. To me, they were just my eyes.
But one day, a man I met by chance looked at me for a few seconds and said: — You have the eyes of a person who sees more than they are shown. I just smiled then. And then for some reason I remembered these words for the rest of my life. I loved the road. Perhaps this is one of the things I couldn’t imagine myself without. I loved driving a car, especially in the evening, when the city lit up with thousands of lights, and the road in front of me turned into a long shiny ribbon. I could get behind the wheel without any plan. Just drive off. Turn on the music.Open the window. And let the city be left somewhere behind. At such moments I felt completely free. I loved freedom in general. Maybe even too much for some people. I liked making my own decisions. Building my own life. Deciding where to go, who to let into my heart and, most importantly, who to let out.
I wasn't afraid of being alone. On the contrary. Loneliness was never a punishment for me. It was my quiet place where I could hear myself. But I loved people very much. I loved talking until the night. I loved laughing so much that my stomach hurt. I loved random acquaintances that started with a simple "hello" and then suddenly became whole stories. I loved traveling.
What I liked most was that in each new country I seemed to meet a new version of myself. Somewhere I became braver. Somewhere calmer. Somewhere I allowed myself to be carefree. And somewhere I suddenly realized that I no longer wanted to return to my old self. One summer I decided to go alone. Without friends. Without company. Without a clear route. I just got in the car and drove to a place I had never been before.
I remember that morning. The sky was incredibly blue. So blue that I even thought: “I wonder if my eyes are the same color today?” I laughed to myself. I drove along the road, sang along to the music, sometimes stopped at small cafes, drank coffee and looked at people. I liked to observe. I was a very curious person. I always wanted to know more: why people behave the way they do, why some fall in love and others run away, why some are afraid of change all their lives, and some just pack their suitcases one morning and go into the unknown. I thought a lot. Sometimes too much. But this is what helped me understand the world. On the third day of the trip, I stopped by the sea. I got out of the car and just stood there for a long time. The wind blew through my dark hair, the sun reflected in my eyes, and the waves rolled softly onto the shore. And suddenly I understood one very simple thing. I didn’t have to wait for someone to come and make my life beautiful. My life was already beautiful. Not perfect. Not painless. Not like in the movies. But mine. And I was its main character. I smiled, got back in the car, and started the engine. The road lay ahead. A new country. New people. New stories. Maybe even a new love. But I wasn’t in a hurry to look for it anymore. I knew that if it was meant to come, it would find me. And for now, I was driving forward. And you know what I understood? The sun doesn’t ask permission before it shines. It just shines. Even if it's dark around. Even if someone doesn't notice it. Even if there are clouds ahead. I was like that too.
