The Taste of Being Me: Curves, Salsa and Heart They say that in Colombia, the coffee is strong and the people are sweet, but I think I am the perfect blend of both, with a little spicy touch to top it all off. I look in the mirror and what I see is a woman who doesn't ask permission to occupy space. I am voluptuous, I am round and I am immensely happy. My curves are not just flesh; they are the map of a well-lived life, shared laughter around a table and many dance steps that have left their mark on the floors of half the country.

The pleasure of a good bite For me, eating is not just "feeding". My God, it would be so boring! For me, eating is a ritual, it's a cuddle for the soul. I am one of those who think that a woman who does not enjoy a good meal misses half the magic of the world.

I love a bandeja paisa where the chicharrón is so crispy that it sounds like an applause when you eat it. I love the wood fire smell of a chicken sancocho made in the backyard of the house, with its ripe avocado and well-grained white rice. And don't even talk to me about arepas; if they're homemade corn with lots of butter and cheese melting on the sides, you've already conquered me!

I enjoy food because it represents the abundance of my land. Whenever I taste something delicious, I close my eyes and give thanks, because these flavors are the ones that nourish my joy. I do not understand diets that take away your smile; I prefer a thousand times a radiant face and a body with "what to catch", rather than living counting calories and being sour. My happiness simmers over low heat.

La salsa: My fuel and my freedom If food is my fuel, salsa is the air I breathe. As soon as I hear a bell or a piano in the style of Richie Ray and Bobby Cruz, I feel an electric shock that rises through my legs and makes me vibrate. It doesn’t matter if I’m doing the dishes or getting ready to go out; if the salsa sounds, my house becomes a dance floor.

I love to party. But not one of those parties where people just sit and stare at their phones. I like the real rumba, the one where you wear your shoes until your feet say "stop" ». When I enter a disco, my energy is felt. I move with an ease that surprises more than one; because being round does not mean not having a rhythm, on the contrary! We have a special swing, a hip movement that has weight, that has a story and that flows like water.

Dancing makes me feel free. On the track, my curves become poetry in motion. I love when a good partner follows my step, that we look at each other, that we laugh and that we let ourselves be carried by the music. For me, the party is a therapy, it's where I let go of my worries and I recharge my mind with pure Colombian "sabrosura".

If you ask me what I prefer, between a diamond or a plane ticket, I do not hesitate a second: I pack my suitcase! I am fascinated by the idea of traveling, to discover every corner of my Colombia and, if possible, of the whole world. I love that tingling in the stomach when you arrive in an unknown village, breathe the air of the place and sit on the main square to watch people pass by..
