¡I knew it! Those were the words my mother said to me when one day after 2 decades I arm of courage and called him to tell him that I was lesbian and that I was going to start a formal relationship with my partner, we were going to form a family. Since childhood I know I am 100% lesbian but by nature I decided to have children. I never dreamed of dressing in white and a man dressed in a formal black suit and white shirt would meet me at the altar to unite our lives. ¡Oh no! To have my children I asked 2 different men to donate sperm, of course in a "natural" way. I have always been a person away from the family and suddenly they saw me with 2 children but without dad, the first thing they said, a failed marriage! I lived my life to the fullest and never clarified my sexuality with my family or my mom. But as I said earlier, one day I got courage and I told him. I thought I was going to surprise my mother by telling her that, but the surprised was me with her answer, she already knew it. It has been one of the best conversations I have had with my mom since that day during that conversation she told me that she did not care about my sexuality. Straight, lesbian, bisexual, I will always be his daughter and he loves and accepts me as I am, he only said to me: "be happy and don't care about others' opinions." I felt like a big weight was taken off my shoulders and my mom was the one who told the rest of my family. Like everything, there are relatives who oppose or disagree but the family that matters most to me are my children, my mother and my grandparents love me as I am. And that's how I came out of the closet.
