Sexiest Celebrities in France – 2025
December 2025
The survey conducted by Discurv aimed primarily to understand the perceptions and opinions of French adults aged 18 and over regarding the attractiveness of various celebrities. The results reveal strong participation, balanced demographically and geographically, with an even gender split and a majority of respondents being professionally active.
A generational and gender divide around sports celebrities emerges: younger generations tend to gravitate toward highly mediatised and digitally connected sports figures, while older generations remain attached to established and recognised athletes in more traditional disciplines.
Respondents aged 18–34 clearly dominate in the identification of most athletes, particularly in highly media-exposed sports such as football or basketball. Conversely, sports like swimming or Formula 1 attract more respondents aged 35–65, who appear to value long-term performance less tied to digital culture.
From a gender perspective, women predominantly gravitate toward charismatic football players, perceived as accessible and media-friendly, while men identify more with individual disciplines requiring strength, technique, or intensity, such as judo or decathlon.

Female athletes remain relatively under-recognised by the public: nearly one in three respondents did not select any of the personalities proposed. Among those identified, footballers and basketball players stand out, supported by increasing media exposure.
The 18–34 age group is the most engaged, identifying the widest range of athletes, particularly from team sports. Older age groups are more dispersed in their choices, showing a relative preference for disciplines such as cycling, triathlon, or athletics.
From a gender standpoint, women project more onto popular and inspiring figures (football, basketball), while men lean more toward individual sports perceived as technical or demanding.

The ranking highlights well-established, popular, and highly mediatised profiles, often associated with an image of mature charisma. Perceived sex appeal appears to be more closely linked to mainstream notoriety than to novelty or a more “arty” image. The strong lead of the top-ranked actor suggests a relatively concentrated preference rather than a highly fragmented choice.
The 18–34 age group shows the strongest engagement, with a marked preference for popular figures from contemporary French cinema (Civil, Niney). Older generations distribute their preferences more evenly among established profiles such as Dujardin, Lellouche, or Sisley.
From a gender perspective, women account for the majority of votes for all actors, confirming that the notion of “sexy” here largely reflects female projection. Men, more marginal in this category, express weaker and more scattered interest depending on the profiles.

Sophie Marceau clearly leads the ranking (21%), confirming her status as a French icon still appreciated across generations. She is followed by Virginie Efira (15%) and Laetitia Casta (12%), two highly mediatised figures associated with a glamorous yet approachable image.
Respondents aged 18–34 gravitate more toward contemporary actresses such as Adèle Exarchopoulos or Leïla Bekhti, while older audiences favour established profiles like Marceau, Casta, or Deneuve.
Women vote predominantly across all actresses, whereas men show a stronger preference for glamorous and widely recognised personalities.

M. Pokora emerges as the singer perceived as the sexiest (19%), ahead of Julien Doré (11%) and Kendji Girac (10%).
Perceived sex appeal appears to be more closely linked to:
A coexistence of very different profiles can be observed: mainstream pop, French chanson, and more distinctive artists.
Preferences vary by profile:
Overall, the landscape appears quite diverse, with no single figure overwhelmingly dominating, but with coherent trends based on notoriety and public image.

In this ranking, Mylène Farmer clearly stands out. Behind her, Shy’m and Nolwenn Leroy occupy the top positions, each supported by a strong image and a well-defined visual universe. Other singers achieve similar scores, indicating that several profiles coexist without one figure fully dominating.
The results also reveal generational dynamics:
This overview highlights a highly diverse female landscape, where each artist attracts a specific audience through her style, image, or personal story.

Three couples follow with similar scores:
Generational differences are evident: highly mediatised couples appeal more to younger audiences, while long-established figures attract older respondents.

Among content creators, sex appeal appears more fragmented and strongly linked to personality and perceived proximity to the audience.
The leader, Baptiste Giabiconi, gathers only 17% of responses, followed by Inoxtag (13%) and Tibo InShape (11%), confirming the absence of a dominant figure and the importance of subjective criteria such as personality and audience connection.

Younger respondents gravitate more toward profiles from YouTube or reality TV, while older generations remain more reserved in their choices.

The study reveals preferences strongly influenced by age, personality type, and media exposure. The results highlight clear generational segmentation and stable trends across the analysed categories.
