My name is Akemi. I'm 18 years old, I'm Asian, and I've always been a curious soul. Now I live in a big city and study at a university, majoring in foreign languages. My dream is to become a translator because I want to help people from different countries understand each other. I've already started learning Japanese and English, since each new language opens a door to a different world and way of thinking. In my free time, I love to paint — especially using ink on rice paper. It helps me relax and feel connected to my ancestors. Sometimes I share my artwork on social media, and it amazes me how people from all over the world find their own meaning in it.
