To give a quick overview of her career, before going into detail, Katsuni (C\u00e9line Tran, her real name) quickly broke into the porn industry. In 2007, she signed an exclusive contract with the American production company Digital Playground. During this collaboration, she starred in the most expensive porn film in history, titled \u00ab\u00a0Pirates 2\u00a0\u00bb, and would go on to become a producer with \u00ab\u00a0My Fucking Life\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

She would later become a columnist on TPS Star and on Canal+ for Le Journal du Hard (naturally). She appeared on other shows, such as Laurent Ruquier\u2019s. In 2009, she lent her voice to the feature film \u00ab\u00a0Les Lascars\u00a0\u00bb, and in 2010 she continued her career as a producer with a porn series titled \u00ab\u00a0Les castings de Katsuni\u00a0\u00bb. At the end of her career, she continued with other projects that I will tell you about later.<\/p>\n
Despite many difficulties following her career change, she remains an expert on sex. C\u00e9line Tran then redirected her career, becoming an actress for TV series and, recently, a martial arts film, \u00ab\u00a0Jailbreak\u00a0\u00bb, on Netflix, signed comic book scripts, and told her story in the book \u00ab\u00a0Ne dis pas que tu aimes \u00e7a\u00a0\u00bb (Fayard). Today she continues to multiply projects, directs the new Porn\u2019Pop collection at Gl\u00e9nat publishing, and gives sex advice. Because sex and the relationship with the body remain at the heart of her life!<\/p>\n

A Lyonnaise of Vietnamese origin<\/b><\/h2>\n
Born in Lyon on April 9, 1979, C\u00e9line Tran is the product of a mixed-race love. Her mother is French<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and her father is Vietnamese. This mixed heritage quickly confronted her with her \u00ab\u00a0difference\u00a0\u00bb in the schoolyard, where she was called \u00ab\u00a0chintok.\u00a0\u00bb A remark that marked her and made her angry, understanding the insult behind that word. Nevertheless, Katsuni had a rather calm childhood.<\/p>\n She discovered the nightlife scene when she was a student<\/strong><\/span><\/a> at Sciences Po, where she started doing go-go dancing and then stripping. Although she was shy and introverted, she loved this \u00ab\u00a0double life\u00a0\u00bb aspect, studious by day and exuberant by night. What did she like about her nocturnal activities? The feeling of taking possession of her body, feeling her self-confidence grow. She loved the power that the podium gave her over her spectators.<\/p>\n This \u00ab\u00a0difference\u00a0\u00bb gave her real inner strength. Indeed, when she wanted to break into porn, she was often denied projects on the grounds that she did not match the stereotypes of the young French woman that men usually fantasized about. So she went to the United States, where she felt completely accepted. Destined for Sciences Po, she thus kicked fate aside to feel free to follow her ambitions.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n One day, a photographer working for Penthouse launched his own X-rated film production company. He was looking for a muse and made her an offer. After a few days of consideration, C\u00e9line accepted. In the midst of exploring her already very intense sexuality, it was a good way to go further. When her parents found out, it was very difficult, but they remained close.<\/p>\n And so began her 13 years in the world of adult film. Years she particularly appreciated, with values and a way of operating that she no longer finds in today\u2019s shoots. Hence the end of her career as a porn actress.<\/p>\n A relatively long career in the industry, like some of her fellow actresses<\/a> who share the same passion. Katsuni explains this by always having maintained a professional attitude, considering porn \u00ab\u00a0as a real job and taking it seriously without taking [herself] too seriously.\u00a0\u00bb She loved it and showed it.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n C\u00e9line Tran stopped making pornography in 2013. She explained: \u00ab\u00a0I had evolved, the porn industry had too, and I felt out of sync, with the feeling that there was nothing left to learn. I wanted to experience my sexuality differently, in an intimate way, to stop seeing my body as a work tool. I realized it was also me, that it was time to take care of it. The danger of porn can lie in becoming too detached from the body<\/em>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n She adds that she learned a lot about men and women: \u00ab\u00a0I saw how fragile men are, trapped in the obligation of virility and the role of the guy who has to get hard. They put enormous pressure on themselves and are torn between the need to \u2018perform\u2019 while also learning to let women take power. As for women, it seems to me that they often have a great lack of knowledge about their bodies, a confidence issue. They are often caught up in guilt<\/em>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n Nevertheless, Katsuni, now C\u00e9line Tran again, has not stopped pursuing projects related to sexuality. Might as well share her experience!<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n After numerous obstacles, rejections, cancellations\u2026 C\u00e9line Tran managed to reinvent herself and start over from scratch. In 2018, the comic book publisher Ankama gave her the opportunity to begin writing scripts (Heartbreaker #1 and #2). Director Fran\u00e7ois Descraques offered her a role in the cult series \u00ab\u00a0Le Visiteur du Futur.\u00a0\u00bb She appeared in the action feature film Jailbreak (on Netflix) and had many other projects underway, whether in writing, film, and more. She also continues to train in various disciplines for coaching. She believes in hard work and perseverance\u2014values she shares during a TED Talk conference.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n A collaboration that may seem unusual but is enriching for everyone. C\u00e9line Tran accompanies artists in the development of their projects. She even goes as far as promoting them by writing prefaces, for example. Of course, the themes remain centered around sex<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and sexuality. Neither claiming to be a sexologist nor a psychologist, she nonetheless highlights her expertise. Her constant quest for knowledge of the body drives her to train in wellness fields such as massage.
