Marina Foïs is our elegant Modern Milf. After launching her career as a comedian, Marina Foïs turned actress, showing that she has many strings to her bow.
At 49, Marina is a worthy representative of French chic, as she demonstrates on the red carpets, and has retained her sense of humor, as seen in every one of her appearances on the famous Burger Quizz show.
A start in comedy
Born on January 21, 1970 in Boulogne-Billancourt, this pretty blonde has Russian, German, Egyptian, Italian and Jewish roots. She grew up with her parents from the Sixties: a psychologist mother she describes as “very open-minded”, and a father who was a researcher in thermonuclear physics, in an affluent, bourgeois environment, spending evenings chatting with the family (because they refused to have TV).
Our beautiful blonde began her acting career at the age of 16, thanks to her former babysitter-turned-director, who offered her her first role in Molière’s L’Ecole des femmes in Toulouse. At 20, Marina entered the famous Cours Florent, where she studied under Isabelle Nanty and met Pierre-François Martin-Laval (PEF), Jean-Paul Rouve and Maurice Barthélémy, with whom she founded the Robins des Bois troupe in 1996.
Dominique Farrugia spotted them and invited them to appear on his channel, Comédie, and then on Canal in 1999. Their absurdist, zany humor was acclaimed by audiences, and the troupe became a benchmark on the French comedy scene.
But Marina didn’t abandon the cinema, on the contrary, and got her first role in Gérard Jugnot’s “casque bleu”. She went on to pursue her career in comedy films: La Tour Montparnasse infernale (2001), Astérix et Obélix : mission Cléopâtre (2002), Mais qui a tué Pamela Rose(2003), Le Raid (2003), RRRrrr !!! (2004) with the Robins des Bois troupe, J’me sens pas belle (2005) and Un ticket pour l’espace (2006).
In 2002, she tried her hand at drama with Filles perdues, cheveux gras. A good idea, since her performance earned her a César nomination for Best New Actress.
Moving into drama
But it was in 2007 that she really made a dramatic turn with Christine Carrière’s Darling, in which she played the title role. She plays a desperate young mother. The following year, she co-starred with Sandrine Bonnaire in Un cœur simple. From then on, the actress felt freer in her choice of roles, retaining certain comedy characters but venturing more and more towards bolder choices. From crime thrillers (L’Immortel in 2010) to thrillers (L’homme qui voulait vivre sa vie by her partner Eric Lartigau in 2010) and drama (Polisse by Maïwenn in 2011), Marina shows she’s at ease in all genres. She will also be the voice of Gloria in the 3-part Madagascar series. All in all, she won no fewer than 4 César nominations, delighting us with her glamorous looks as she treads the red carpet in heels.
A busy personal life for this elegant milf
In her private life, Marina has been the companion of director Eric Lartigau since 1999, with whom she has had 2 children: Lazare in 2004, who will appear in the film Prête-moi ta main, in the role of Sandro. He also appeared in Les Infidèles.and Georges in 2008.
She is also involved in charities such as “Agir pour les Enfants du Monde” (AEM), which supports families and children suffering from poverty around the world. She also appeared in a spot for the Agence de la biomédecine to encourage organ donation in 2013.
Her most beautiful photos
She fully embraces her image as an intelligent, funny and elegant woman… but also her age.
