Italian women have always made men fantasize, with their beautiful hair and generous necklines.Take Monica Bellucci or Ornella Muti, for example. But is this sexy image indicative of their sexuality ? Nothing could be further fromt he truth.
So yes, Italian women are more Latins than Latinas. But where do Latinas come from? So let’s just say that today, we’re going back to our roots. Come on. If you’ve been following me in previous articles (you never know), we’ve tackled the sexuality of Brazilian women, which shattered a few myths.
Here, we’ll be talking about the sexuality of European women, and in particular … Italian women, as you may have gathered from the title. You may be surprised (or not) to learn that European women love one-night stands, especially the younger ones. However, according to a recent Ifop survey, Italy comes last when it comes to this kind of activity.
Women have nothing to envy men when it comes to sex
In fact, women also practice recreational sex. I can confirm that. Well, I can’t take my own case as an example, given my activity, so let’s let the figures speak for themselves. If I tell you that around 33% of European women have already had sex on the first date, does that surprise you? And that 17% of these women do it regularly? Which just goes to show that we’re far from bored, on either side.
I’d also like to add that 33% of our beautiful European women have done it knowing full well they’d never see their partner again. On average, one European woman in 2 has already had “ephemeral sexual adventures”. These figures come from a study* carried out by Ifop for the Wyylde social network, based on declarations from women in Spain, France, Italy, Germany and the UK. And among them, one country is bucking the trend: Italy.
Italian women not so keen on booty calls
If you thought morals were liberated in the land of the boot, you’ll be disappointed. Remember, too, that this is a religious country, where family values are ingrained in the culture, and the Pope is not far away. God is watching them closely. So much so that, according to data provided by the Wyylde Observatory of European Women’s Recreational Sexuality, Italian women are not big consumers of ephemeral sex.
In fact, it seems that only 25% of Italian women have ever had sex with a guy on their first date. This compares with 38% of French, Spanish and German women. And even hotter, 41% of British women have had sex. Not bad. I like these figures, because where there’s discomfort, there’s no pleasure. And we like pleasure, don’t we?
And on we go. Italy, still in last place when it comes to fooling around under the comforter, with 24% of women. In France, England and Spain, the figure rises to 34%. Clearly, France and its neighboring countries tend to have a bit of a fire up their asses. It warms the c… heart. Joking joking.
Another surprising figure concerns the under-25s. Only 9% of young Italian women have ever had sex without knowing their partner’s first name (if you’ve never been fishing, cast the first stone). This figure rises to 19% for French and Spanish women, and 28% for British women. At the same time, it’s understandable: it often rains over there, so you need to be able to keep warm at all times..
The sexfriend more accepted by all European women
If the quick booty call doesn’t find its audience in Italy, it’s not the sexfriend that seems more morally acceptable. It’s true that we feel more comfortable with someone we see from time to time, without commitment but with whom trust is possible. Italian women are catching up in this area, with 23% admitting to having had such experiences, 12% of them on a regular basis.
Nevertheless, Italy is still last in the ranking with 18%. It is, however, closer to France, where 23% of women are sexfriend enthusiasts. Germany does better with 25%, but still less than the UK or Spain with 26% of women who like their little comfort. The reassuring side of the sexfriend therefore appeals more easily to European women, who perhaps feel less guilty and less judged with this form of sexuality. Of course, this is just a guess.
Ephemeral sexuality appeals to young people
These figures are likely to change in the future, as the younger generation arrives with new mores. More unbridled, more adventurous, more relaxed, having grown up with the Internet and porn, young women under 25 are lighter than their elders.
In fact, this study shows that 50% of young Spanish women indulge in recreational sexuality. France is not to be outdone, with 49% and 46% for beautiful Englishwomen. The latter figure is rather surprising when you consider the ones above, which show that they easily have sex on the first night, without necessarily knowing their partner’s first name. In any case, the European average for ephemeral sexuality is 36%. Young women under 25 are also more likely to have had sex without knowing their partner’s first name (17% vs. 12% in Europe).
Drugs, alcohol, sex and Rock&Roll
Young women under the age of 25 may have a more liberated sexuality, but they can also be more dangerous. Mixing alcohol and hard drugs can make behavior more risky, and it’s easy to forget to use a condom. Especially when you consider that 19% of Britons have had sex on hard drugs. In the UK, 19% of young girls have had sex on hard drugs (methamphetamines, mephedrone, cathinones…), compared with 9% of those aged between 18 and 69. The same applies in France (15% vs. 3%) and Spain (17% vs. 10%).
This high-risk behavior is reinforced by a particular phenomenon that has gained momentum over the last ten years: sex parties. Here, alcohol, hard drugs and sex mix. This type of party has become a real hit, and is still going strong, much to the chagrin of the emergency services. Enjoyed by 9% of British women of legal age, they were experienced by… 23% of those under 25. The same is true in Spain (7% vs. 17%) and France (4% vs. 16%).
