What does the perfect penis look like (according to science)?

The question of the shape (and size) of the penis is on every man’s mind. The various representations that exist tend to standardize the penis (especially those depicted in pornography) towards an unattainable perfection. But what is the reality?

Swiss researchers looked into the matter by asking women what the perfect penis should look like.

What makes a perfect penis?

No fewer than 105 women were asked to describe their ideal penis. The methodology is pretty straightforward, involving rating the appearance of twenty or so penises presented in an image, according to various criteria. If you can imagine the main criteria revolving around length and width, well, you’d be wrong. That’s the first thing to learn from this study. No more complexes about the size of your sex. The first criterion is harmony. Now we need to understand what it is about a penis’s aesthetics that makes it perfect in the eyes of the ladies.

The aesthetic criterion according to women

The study shows that to have a perfect penis, it should be pleasing to the eye, well-proportioned and eye-catching. Once again, these criteria seem vague and open to interpretation. To be a little more precise, we need to dig deeper into the rest of the study. In particular, pubic hair is considered aesthetically pleasing when well cared for, and can even enhance the penis.

The shape of the glans and the appearance of the skin also feature in the Swiss research. In particular, withered skin is considered unsightly. The shape of the glans can also contribute to the overall aesthetics.

The only criterion for a perfect penis?

If it seems important in this study for the penis to be pleasing to the eye, we can also question the main purpose of the male sex. After all, it’s not there just to look pretty, but to give pleasure. In this respect, it seems that width is more important than length. Indeed, men are reminded that the G-zone is located 3 centimetres from the entrance to the vagina, and that the clitoris is the zone entirely dedicated to pleasure (and which can therefore be stimulated externally). One thing’s for sure, then: stop focusing on the length of your sex – it’s not what women want.

Stop focusing on size

So it seems important to remind men – and especially the many stars who spend a lot of time talking about this subject – to stop focusing on the size of their penis. There are other unusual things to know about the penis.

Take Jason Derulo, for example, whose shirtless photo in shorts was deleted from Instagram because his penis was deemed too visible from below. A boon for the singer, who could now boast an “anaconda” between his legs.

Orlando Bloom also feels obliged to point out that his penis isn’t as big as some paparazzi photos might lead you to believe. Meanwhile, Enrique Iglesias claims to have the world’s smallest penis! In short, the subject seems inexhaustible…
